I’ve been through Tasmania’s Central Highlands a couple of times now, sometimes with a plan, other times just passing through. One trip was simply to take it all in, no camera pressure, just watching how the landscape unfolds. But even when you’re covering distance out there, it’s hard not to stop. Places like Lake St Clair in the west, or the short wander through Pine Lake Walk up north, have a way of pulling you in.
Across a few trips, I’ve managed to come home with a handful of images that felt worth keeping. Nothing rushed, just quiet moments between the lakes, low cloud rolling through, and that clean Highland air that seems to sharpen everything a little.
This small collection is a mix from those visits. A reminder that sometimes it takes a few goes, and a bit of patience, to come away with something you’re happy to share.
